Outstanding writer Doris Lessing dies aged 94

British Nobel Prize-winning author Doris Lessing has died aged 94. She was also awarded the Príncipe de Asturias prize in 2001.

Her best-known works include The Golden Notebook, Memoirs of a Survivor , The Summer Before the Dark and The Fifth Child.

She became the oldest winner of the Nobel prize for literature in 2007, when she won the award for her life's work, aged 88.

  1. I have never read any of her books but the jury of the Príncipe de Asturias prize can say: ´we saw her first´.
