Juan Ponce de León got to Florida in 1513 (exactly five hundred years ago) and Pedro Menéndez de Avilés founded San Agustín (which is St. Augustine, Florida currently, the oldest city in the United States) in 1565. Afterwards, John Smith built Jamestown, Virginia, in 1607 and the Pilgrims arrived to Plymouth Rock, Massachussetts, in 1620. In my view, Thanksgiving is a funny celebration.
